The Angels Are Coming

A Self Help book of 5 Guided meditations. Available for adults and children to use at home or in their holistic practice. I am a Reiki Master Teacher and use these guided meditations in my practice and speaking demonstrations. They can help with PTSD, Depression, Trauma, Stress, Anxiety and Self Esteem. I was guided to write these meditations as a way to help assist the mind and body change their inner perspective of itself. Allowing us to grow and change and adapt. Giving us our power back.
You can read them aloud with relaxing music to clients, family or friends, as well as record your voice reading them to play at your convenience.
The children guided meditation has worked extremely well. It is a short guided meditation (beneficial for wiggly children) which allows the child to gather their worries in a backpack and travel to The Healing Pyramid to release their worries.

It all started about a year and a half ago whilst I was working in my Reiki Healing shop. During sessions I would receive messages for myself and clients alike. Knowing the difference was like tuning into two different radio stations. The messages, inspiration and images were staggering. I have to stay I was at that point working at a high vibrational energy. Constantly reading, healing, learning and looking after myself all at a high standard. I was guided to write, draw and get this book out there. I worked on this relentlessly for months. I finally put it all together and my life took a turn. The tower card of life. Everything came tumbling down again. I gave up my shop and healing. It took a long time to get myself on track and I am still working hard on myself and self development again. This book is now complete and I have now held up my end of the deal eventually.

A lot of the images I drew I removed from the book and used them elsewhere in my art work as I couldn’t focus during the ” Dark Tower” period.

The meditations I use them with distant healing and give them one to one with clients as well a small groups with great results. Designed to use over and over again and have different results and outcomes each time.

I am in no means declaring to be an author, to have the skills and knowledge to write, but I can say hand on heart these have came from a pure and honest place, meant to be shared and used to help heal ourselves and others.

Blessed Be,

Body Art. How to start a body painting project…

Ok, so you would like to try your hand at body painting? Have you seen Skin Wars? or UK Face Painting Conventions art work?

If not, go check them out and see what is out there!

As for paints, I personally choose Diamond FX almost every time. The paint lasts a good while, the pigments are great for camera work and the variety is more than enough. 100% safe but always worth a skin test for those who haven’t been painted before.

You can get some great brushes and sponges from online stores like The Face Painting Shop, which sell almost everything you will possibly need. The magic shop also sells a small amount of Diamond FX paints too.

Then you will need to do your research, learn and practice using the paints and brushes. Develop your style. Learn the rules then break them.

Yes, this is your responsibility and your brushes and paints won’t do the work without you!

GET INSURED!! ( I personally use Holistic Gold )

So you have your basic set up. Now you need a concept!

Be original, find something or someone who inspires you. Learn from others and BE INSPIRED, TAKE INSPIRATION FROM OTHERS AND DO NOT COPY!

If you do not already know of good models or photographers, LOOK FOR THEM! SEEK THEM OUT. A lot of creative work TFT (Trade for Time) basically means we all work for free, working for the same outcome. We share ideas and we bring out the best in each others chosen field. We all must be happy with final results before sharing them and respect each others opinions.

Please bear in mind there are creeps out there, be safe and only work and go where you feel safe ensuring someone knows what you are doing and where you are.

Im lucky enough to have a few people in my preferred circle to whom I like to work with and very rarely step out of it unless I am looking for something specific. I trust those who I work with and they trust me.

SO YOU HAVE YOUR CONCEPT… WHAT NOW?

Lets take the vintage photoshoot.

Michelle Callan Buck (model) and Paul Cummings (photographer) are my friends and we have all worked together a number of times.

It started with a title… It did change a little over time but YOU MUST keep everyone in the loop of your thinking and ideas so they can also plan for the day.

So when I finally knew in my head what I was doing (which is normally a day or so previous to the shooting day) it was all stations go.

Dainty supplies had a visit from me, buying a zip, flowers and seeing patterns and ideas around the store gave me lots of inspiration. I printed lots of reference images as well as having a pre run a few days earlier.

THE DAY OF THE SHOOT

Michelle arrived, looking fabulous as ever. A colleague at Sunderland Beauty Salon, Anita McLusky had done Michelles Hair Earlier, which was amazing. Michelle who manages Sunderland Beauty Salon applied her own make up which was equally gorgeous. Paul arrived with his portable studio and amazing new backdrop.

So we were ready to go. Nipple covers had been covered with Flowers and ready to apply. The zip was being glued to skin with Liquid Latex to give the impression the clothing was a little more realistic.

The cake and clothing outline was then drew onto the skin with White Diamond FX. The yellow Diamond Fx Paint was next and the final touch of fresh flowers stuck to the skin.

Paul and Michelle worked like absolute professionals as usual giving it all. The images speak for themselves. Great team work, great team.

THE ENCHANTRESS

A collaboration between Meg Franklin and Georgia Franklin and myself.

The concept was The Enchantress from the movie Suicide Squad.

The head dress was the only item that was to be made. The head dress was made using card, cut into a moon shape then laminated and cut out. I made an equal mix of black and silver paint and PVA glue, then tore up some tissue paper.

I then applied the paint/glue mix to the moon shape and added the small pieces of tissue. Continued to do this until both sides were complete and dry. Then attached the head band to the back with glue. Finishing the dried piece with silver, black and copper acrylic paint dabbed on with a sponge to achieve a stippled effect.

There wasn’t a huge amount of references available for The Enchantress, so a lot of research and scouring various images to find the symbols and the best way to approach the painting for timing and final shots.

You must consider your actual painting time, plus the model and photographers over all time. The model will need a break to move around and stretch. Ensure your model and yourself have had food ( best done before face are is painted). Toilet breaks are done before you paint lower part of the body if possible. Sometimes drinks are better being drank through straws to avoid spills which obviously make the paint run!

I started on the eyes using Diamond FX black and layering over with dark grey eye shadow to smooth the paint a little.

The symbols across the head were like looking for a needle in a haystack via media. So I decided to use astrological symbols, using a black eye liner.

The neck was next, then the outline of the bra, chains, symbols etc were painted on.

The old effect of peeling skin was achieved by dabbing on liquid latex with sponges, then brushing over with grey eyeshadow followed by gently rubbing the skin to lift the latex in areas.
